Got the glow? Anastasia Beverly Hills Moonchild Glow Kit Review

With ABH recently launching their UK website, I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to offer my insights on the highly coveted Moonchild glow kit.

Prior to the launch of their UK sales website, I had been unable to get my mitts on the Moonchild highlighting palette. ABH was quite easily available on websites such as Beauty Bay and Cult Beauty, however they were often in limited supplies. But that is no longer an issue for us UK ABH fans!
Now on to the palette… The Moonchild glow kit offers an unusual collection of multipurpose powders, with their primary use being highlighters. ABH have a wide range of highlighting palettes and this is definitely the most unusual of the bunch, with a range of blue, green, yellow and pink tone shades.

Top Row Swatches (L-R): Blue Ice, Star, Purple Horseshoe

Bottom Row Swatches (L-R): Pink Heart, Lucky Clover, Blue Moon

My initial impression of this palette was that it was more of a collector’s item rather than an everyday, do it all palette. However, after experimenting with this kit for a number of weeks, I feel my opinion had shifted somewhat.

When used with a light hand, I feel that pretty much all the shades in the palette could be used on a day to day basis. Especially Pink Heart, Star and Blue Moon on lighter skin tones. The two I have found to be the least wearable on my skin tone would be Purple Horseshoe and Lucky Clover. However, they may work well on someone with a warmer or darker complexion to mine.

Bottom line, if you’re a highlight addict like myself then you may want this unique item in your collection. On the other hand, if you’re more of a subtle, ‘glow from within’ type of person you may want to give this one a miss.

The ABH Moonchild Glow Kit is priced at £39.00 and is available for purchase on the Anastasia Beverly Hills website
